The warrants search was executed on Friday, Aug. 23, by members of the Stratford Police Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit and the SRT Team following an investigation focusing on drug sales and firearm-related crimes in Stratford, said Capt. Frank Eannotti.
The subjects of the investigation, a 15-year-old juvenile, and Zaire Dixon, 19, of Stratford, were arrested without incident during the search, Eannotti said.
During the search, detectives found a stolen gun loaded with several rounds of ammunition, as well as marijuana packaged for sale, police said.
Dixon was out on bond from a previous firearms arrest in which he was involved in a shooting in Stratford, Eannotti said.
He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal transfer of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, risk of injury to minor, improper storage of a firearm, and violation of a condition of release.
Dixon is being held on a $1 million bond.
The 15-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and is being held at Juvenile Detention.
